What!?! Wait, it's not our Anniversry..., Hmmm..., it's not your birthday..., but I think it has something to do with an Anniversary trip we took to a city in South Carolina a couple of years ago. Sorry, students, I was given strict orders not to blog the answer, but I could give a clue. Enjoy History! Your Teacher Rocks!
Civil war started. Americans attack 4 Japanese bases for the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Franklin D. Roosevelt Died. Bill Clinton is under contemp of court for lying about his relationship withformer White House intern Monica Lewinsky. These all happened on april 12-Hussein
There were many events on April 12th but I'm sure that the event is the bombing of Fort Sumter in South Carolina, 1861. This also began the Civil War and the rise in southern uprisings.
After the Lincoln Administration wouldn't surrender Fort Sumter in South Carolina to the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis ordered an attack on the fort which lasted from April 12-13 until the fort surrendered. This called for war in eyes of the Union, and so this was the beginning of the bloodiest war in American history better known as the American Civil War. - Daniel Black
This is what I found, the Confederate shelling of Fort Sumter in South Carolina in 1861 marking the beginning of the Civil war, in 1945 president Franklin Roosevelt died of a stroke in Warm Springs Georgia, in 1961 Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin entered outer space, and the 1999 citation of president Bill Clinton for contempt of court for making "intentionally false statements" in a sexual harassment lawsuit. -Justin
Federal troops stationed at Fort Sumter, South Carolina were fired upon by Confederate forces starting the American Civil War. Also the first space shuttle was launched into space by America.
The great significance was that On April 12,1861 Confederate forces attaked Fort Sumter and The Civil War Begin.which is very important in our history :D Heba.
It's the last Tuesday of school before our spring break:-)
